1689-1714 "justeaucorps" (private soldier)
Soldier's coat for Nine Years War and War of Spanish Succession, in wool broadcloth, serge full lining, brass or pewter buttons all down the front, on pockets and cuffs, and at the back pleats.
Any army and regiment can be reconstructed, in any colour combination. In the pics you can see the white coats recreated for the Jacobite Irish regiment of Antrim, c. 1690, and the original Swedish coat pattern 1687, along with the four French justeaucorps which were bought at the time as a model to be copied. My own pattern for this style of coats, as well as the details of construction and sewing, are carefully and faithfully developed and reproduced from these very rare original military garments, personally examined.
