1836-1849 Austrian coat "Rock"
Austrian uniform coat or "Rock", made of white cloth for infantry, dragoons and cuirassiers, green for chevau-léger, brown for Grenzer (like the replicated one in the photos) and artillery, pike grey (Hechtgrau) for Jaegers, cornflower blue for pioneers.
Meticulously reconstructed from the official regulations of 1836 and 1840 and extant original coats (see first two photos), it is made of white broadcloth and lined with natural hemp (Zwilch) canvas. Is is available for any branch of service and unit, and in the standard 4 sizes provided for at the time, plus an additional xlarge modern size, or also made to your own measures. Pewter or brass plain half-domed buttons. If you choose a Hungarian/Grenz regiment the cuffs are cut pointed and display a white cloth stylized "bear's paw".
