Austrian gaiters 1836-1861

Austrian gaiters of the patterns 1836, 1851 and 1861, reconstructed from the text and plates of the regulations. Made of black kersey twill woollen cloth, and lined with natural hemp canvas, black 4-hole leather buttons. The top three buttons can also be fastened with leather thongs, so as to enable the gaiters to be worn over the bottom of the trousers in bad weather. Available in the 4 standard sizes, they can easily be altered and made to fit at your leg by tightening or loosening up the back seam.
