Bavarian tunic 1860-1871

Bavarian tunic 1860-1871

Bavarian army tunic pattern 1860, used until 1871. Exactly replicated from original tunics preserved in the Bayerisches Armeemuseum of Ingolstadt and the very similar Prussian tunic dated 1880 in my own private collection. It is made of medium blue wool cloth, lined with white cotton in the body and sleeves, 9 slightly domed brass or pewter buttons down the front, with collar, cuffs, shoulder rolls and piping according to regiment.

Available in standard sizes, or else made to measure. Also, in officer's superfine quality with heavily padding at breast and narrow tapered waist, as was fashionable at this time.
