British Foot & Black Watch coat 1802-1815

British Foot & Black Watch coat 1802-1815

British infantry coat, made of the correct, authentic madder red wool broadcloth, with white wool serge lining, regimental lace set on in loops (either square, pointed or bastion) and pewter buttons with regimental number. The pictures show jackets of the light companies of the 42nd Highlanders "The Black Watch" - faithfully replicated from an original one preserved in Russia and bought by tsar Alexander I (minus the braid loop on the collar which was introduced in 1816), and of the 7th Fusiliers, featuring the white cuff piping unique to this rgt. The same pattern of coat can also be made for most British regiments of this period, when the regimental lace and buttons are available, just enquire. The coats shown are cut in the post-1812 style, with squared up fronts and cut-back tails, if you need a pre-1812 coat/jacket with the longer waist cut in a curve, just specify that in the notes.

The very best British Napoleonic coats you can find anywhere, down to the smallest details and tiniest stitches, cut following period tailoring systems and beautifully fitting!

Made to measure or in standard sizes and heights.

The price shown is for flank company coats or jackets with wings, if you want instead a centre company coat with only shoulder strap tufts, a dicsount of 60 € is applied once you make your order.
