British marine coat 1775

British Royal Marines private's coat 1768-1788. faithfully reconstructed from the original Foot Guards coats preserved in UK, and the period images, paintings and prints that show Royal Marines, generally with buttons set on in pairs. The coat is made like all British army coats of madder red broadcloth, lined with white baize and with worked buttonholes - marines did not at this time have a lace trim.

Available in standard sizes, plus an Xlarge modern size, or also to your own measures.

"The coat arrived today and I'm most happy with it! I was pleasantly surprised to find that the overall fit is absolutely spot on for me and it's of course very well put together.

Now comes the expensive part of putting the rest of the uniform together.

Thank you very much as well for getting it sent over so quickly.

Best regards,

Jamie"
