French 1844, 1855 or 1858 pattern infantry overcoat
French infantry overcoat of the patterns 1844, 1855 or 1858, of gris-de-fer-bleuté wool melange cloth, linen lining, brass regimental buttons. The first two patterns were used in the Crimean War, while the pattern 1858 was worn in the Italian campaign of 1859 from Montebello to Magenta and Solferino.
Meticulously replicated down to the smallest details from extant original items and strictly following the official description in the Journal Militaire. Most stitching are still hand-sewn.
