French 1867/1877 pattern trousers
French infantry trousers pattern 1867, meticulously copied from original extant items. Made of sturdy madder red ("rouge garance") cloth, or blue for artillery and marine troops (like the one shown in the pics) and lined with "cretonne de coton". Available in standard sizes and inside leg lengths. Complete with two large side pockets on both thighs, closed with buttoned up straps.
The later pattern of 1877 used until the Great War is also available, as well as the Imperial Guard version with blue piping or bands down the ouside leg seam. Closely patterned and constructed after the regulation description and plates, and various samples in the Musée de l'Armée and private collections.
