French Imperial Guard habit (coat)
Iconic French Imperial Guard habit/coat for grenadier or chasseurs à pied, made of fine blue wool cloth, with scarlet cuffs, white lapels and cuff flaps, red serge lining for the body and linen for sleeves and back, brass eagle buttons, turnback embroidered grenade or bugle horn badges.
The last four pics show the habit for fusiliers-grenadiers of 1808-10, with white cut-out eagle turnback badges and blue piped red shoulder-straps (the waistcoat of course is not included, but can be purchased separately).
All details are carefully, painstakingly replicated from various original habits preserved in the army museums of Paris and Salon-de-Provence. Note particularly the white piping of both lapels and three-pointed cuff-flaps, as well as the false vertical pockets just outlined with red piping hand-stitched onto the body of the coat. This is truly the most accurate, faithful, detailed and better fitting replica that you can find anywhere!
Available in standard chest sizes and various heights, or made to your own measure (fill in the measure form in the last pic above).
