French Old Guard overcoat "redingote"

Redingote of Old Guard pattern, available both in the older style with two rows of 8 buttons or the latter style with 5 (grenadiers) or 6 (chasseurs) buttons. The grenadier version (like the Foot Artillery) does not have a red piping like the chasseur. Made in good quality heavy overcoating wool broadcloth and lined with natural linen, it is available in the four standard period sizes, plus an xlarge modern size. Specify your own height when ordering, the bottom edge should really stand one foot from the ground.
