Prussian tunic 1842-1871
Prussian tunic pattern 1842 or 1864, used until 1871. Exactly replicated from an original tunic preserved in the Armémuseum of Stockholm and another dated 1880 in my own private collection. It is made of dark blue wool cloth, lined with white cotton in the body and sleeves, 8 slightly domed brass buttons down the front, with collar, cuffs, shoulder straps and piping according to regiment or brigade.
Available in standard sizes, or else made to measure. Also, in officer's superfine quality with heavily padding at breast and narrow tapered waist, as was fashionable at this time.
